Listening to Echoes of Torn Flesh

Well- at least the title is appropriate.

it appears that GW Bush is on his way to a new term, it is amazing to me that Democrats are so lame that they cannot beat this man- why- because I think the Democrats are wimps. The Democrats have spent so much time driving out the Lyndon Johnson's and Richard Daley's from the Democratic party that they have given their vote to the Republicans. America will never be moved by the Democrat's position on Abortion or Gay Marriage, they could be moved however by what is happening in allot of America- the destruction of the middle class and the hollowing out of our industries that employ people with living wages.

If you look at our situation as a nation we are in decline. Not in rich areas- but in regular areas.

Here is a rewrite of Martin Niemoller's poem about the Nazi's

when they came for the tanners I said nothing because I was not a tanner and when they came for the textile mills I said nothing because I was not a textile worker, and when they came for the shoe makers I said nothing because I was not a shoemaker, and when they came for the Auto plants I said nothing because I was not an autoworker, when they came for the steel mills I said nothing because I was not a steelworker, when they came for the computer programmers I said nothing because I was not a computer programmer, when they came for me there was no one left-

in a world where capital and companies can move anywhere there is no way to stop this and this means that the world in which we live is fleeting-
